The moon above the ocean at Coollum beach was captured in this painting. What seemed a dark night and a dark moving ocean beneath the jetty came alive when the clouds came away from the moon and moonlight bathed the area in a silver glow. The movement of the water against the movement of the cloud creates an active, energized work of art. The layers of acrylic paint, metallic oil pastels and black ink converge together. An almost 3D moon created with silver layers of paint seems to emerge from the upper part of the painting in a way that lights the entire landscape. Subtle hues of purple, gold, gray and blue complete the lower depths of the moonlit water. A beautiful summer night seascape. A white border and black A3 frame complete this work.
